All Sunday services are held in the chapel of Harris Manchester College, Mansfield Road, Oxford. They start at 11am, and end by 12 noon.

Coffee is served afterwards, and visitors are always made welcome.

MAY / JUNE 2010

Sunday 2 May: Preacher: Revd Peter Hewis. After the service: a congregational meeting in the Wellbeloved Room to receive reports from Martyn Agass and Alan Carter, our representatives at the annual meeting of the Unitarian General Assembly. All welcome; please bring sandwiches; meeting ends at 2.30 pm.

Sunday 9 May: Preacher: Alan Ruston. Discussion Group meets to discuss the theme of the sermon, 1pm–2.30pm in the University Club, Mansfield Road. All welcome; please bring sandwiches.

Sunday 16 May: no morning service (city centre closed for a Fun Run). Evening service at 6 pm in the chapel, led jointly by Leo Bowder and Mark Leonard, based on Buddhist meditation and mindfulness practice.

Sunday 23 May: Preacher: Dr Howard Oliver. After the service: a Walking Group ramble. All welcome.

Sunday 30 May: Preacher: Sue Woolley.

Sunday 6 June: Preacher: Revd Martin Whitell. Special collection for the Margaret Barr Foundation (this year’s good cause adopted by the Unitarian Women’s League).

Sunday 13 June: Preacher: Jim Corrigall. Discussion Group meets to discuss the theme of the sermon, 1pm–2.30pm in the University Club, Mansfield Road. All welcome; please bring sandwiches.

Thursday 17 June: Chapel Society Committee meets at 7.30 pm.

Saturday 19 June: Garden Party, Unitarian Women’s League, 2.30 pm at the home of Christine Jones in Standlake, west Oxfordshire. All welcome.

Sunday 20 June: Service led by Revd Peter Hewis; guest preacher: Revd. Dr Elek Rezi.

Sunday 27 June: Preacher: Val Worthington. Walking Group ramble in the afternoon; all welcome.

Sunday 4 July: Picnic by the River Glyme at Wootton Meadows, near Woodstock, after the service. A gentle stroll through delightful countryside; children especially welcome. Ravens, wild orchids, and crayfish are among the features of interest.
