Please note the following news items: (see Events)

There will be no morning service on Sunday 17 May, because the city centre streets will be closed for a Fun Run. Instead our service, commemorating the bicentenary of the death of Charles Darwin, will begin at 6 pm, preceded by tea and cake, with a display of books by and about Darwin, at 5 pm. … On Sunday 7 June we shall have a guided tour of Oxford Castle and Prison, following a sandwich lunch. … The annual garden party of the Oxford branch of the Unitarian Women’s League will be held on Saturday 13 June. See the Newsletter for full details.

An article by our Pulpit Secretary Catherine Robinson was included in the Guardian on 28th March as part of their Face to faith series. The article can still be found on the Guardian website, at http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/mar/28/unitarian-tim-berners-lee. The page includes some comments by guardian.co.uk readers, below the text of the article.

Another member of our congregation, Leo Bowder, spoke on BBC Radio Oxford on the morning of Sunday 3rd May, on Phil Mercer's 06:00 show. As the show focuses on spiritual issues, Leo was able to work in some references to Unitarianism! The show can be heard online until 9am on Sunday 10th May. It can be found via the following link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p002xnc3/Phil_Mercer_on_Sunday_03_05_2009/. Leo says he was on for ten minutes, alongside some other speakers, at some point between 7:30 and 8:20.
